Meet the North County Community Nexus Planning Team

Erica R. Williams, M.B.A.Executive Director, A Red Circle

Erica Williams founded A Red Circle in 2017 with a foundational goal of assuring access to healthy food choices for all. Erica launched A Red Circle as a one-person mission; now the nonprofit has 18 staff members to support five focus areas: education, employment, holistic living, policy, and the arts. Erica’s mantra, “We can do more,” is the catalyst for the creation of North County Community Nexus.
Erica holds a B.A. in Paralegal Studies and an M.B.A. from Maryville University. She is working on her PhD in Public Policy and Administration from Walden University.

Laura MaddenStrategic Support Specialist

Laura Madden joined A Red Circle in May 2022 after working 30 years in the U.S. Senate, House of Representatives, and as a government affairs professional. Laura is passionate about issues related to food and nutrition programs, food safety, community and economic development, water resources, and environment protection.  She is committed to working for a revitalized and resilient North County.
